It seems to be built rugged. It has a whiter beam than the 1600 dorcy but the dorcy is more focused and brighter not whiter but brighter I actually wouldnt have ordered it because i dont buy sears brand products, but with dorcy being involved ive used dorcy 1600 model days and days on end as an exterminator always had good product with dorcy replacement batteries holster etc.
