Excellent flashlight

I work in a forging plant, hot forging steel parts at around 2200-2300° out of the furnace. I’ve had 2 of these since I’ve been here, both provided by work. Used them to chip and scrape scale off parts in quality and now still using them in maintenance. I’ve been pretty rough on them, lenses are broken and the rubber protecting the button is torn open. I’ve tossed and dropped them, used as a very light hammer, had the body hot enough I could burn my hand. They’ve been exposed to wheelabrator shot, metal scale/dust, oil, grease, etc. They haven’t called it quits yet. The first flashlight, the on/dim/strobe modes quit working and it just does on and off, but it still gets it done. And the second one had metal dust get into the button and it was sticking. Smacked it off of something each time the button got stuck, and it’s working just fine again. They just won’t fully die.

Do not but due to becoming too hot to touch.

Dangerously hot after 4 minutes! Too hot to hold. Makes it useless. I have two and both get too hot to touch when used on high.

Congratulations Dorcy for making a top quality light with a ton of power. If you want a pocket spotlight , man this is it!

I just got this light while attending the CandlePower camping week-end at Lakawanna State Park in north east Pa. This is a very powerful light. The Lumens are rated at 840 on high, and when I compared it with other lights in the 800 to 1000 lumen range, it was right there with them. I like lights that have a smooth beam, this one hits a home run. Usually, the light has to have an orange peel reflector to accomplish this, but this light has a smooth reflector, and has a perfectly smooth and even beam- no easy task! No light is perfect, and I would have preferred a 3 step light with this much power. Low and high are a big spread. Low is great at 60 lumens for indoor use. High is amazing for a small light, but has a 10 minute run time warning. A 400 to 500 lumen medium would have been a great addition. The quality of the light is top notch. I also found that the light works great with a 17670 lithium ion battery. I'm sure this is not recommended by the company- but it works perfectly.
