light as a feather

I am always using a headlamp and ran across Dorcy a few years ago at a trade show. I like their products and especially like this light . The fact that it is so lightweight and bright was the selling point for me. I do like the low beam option but I never liked strobe feature on lights because I have no need for it. I mostly use the light working around the house and the yard at dusk.

Great potential but plastic quality suffers

I used to buy these routinely but a couple of years ago the build quality diminished. Namely, the plastic that holds the headband snapped off after a few uses. Prior to that it was a great light. Light weight, comfortable, and with good illumination. I inspect restaurant grease traps and these were great for mounting on my hard hat or brow. It is disappointing that the build quality has suffered so. Once the plastic retaining clip breaks there isn't much you can do with it. If the plastic was ABS (think LEGOS) then it would be far less likely to break and I would have given it 5 stars instead of 1 star. After two of these broke in less than a month I stopped buying them. Please improve the build quality. Light output is excellent and battery life was around 50 hours regular use (best recollection). This could be an outstanding product, but for now give it a pass.

Works greatly but needs a little maintenance as far as keeping everything dry

I have had one for a year or so and it has worked great It is extremely bright but the only thing negative I can say about it is I wish that the battery compartment was sealed a little better. From wearing it while working in hot conditions or in Addicks my sweat would always make the battery compartment wet and it did not take long for everything to rust out
