Really like this flashlight. Two suggestions would make it the best.
1. Having to cycle through the high to low light is a bit old tech. Create a memory function to pick up where you left off; e.g. if last light level was medium when turning off. Have the light start at medium when turning it back on. The highest light level is a bit of a shock when turning on. I like, and want the highest light level, just not always when turning on. I have to place my hand over the lens sometimes and cycle to the desired level.
2. I really like the super wide field. The light focuses down to a smaller beam; but, would like an even tighter beam for illuminating items further away.
These items are not a big deal. It is a great flashlight. Low level is great. Super high is like a wide-angle car headlight. At close distance you do not need anything brighter. It works!
The flashlight is very well made. Heavy duty, great feel. You could club a bear with it if needed. Super bright shine and fast run is a better option. The lens is domed glass, not plastic. Very cool. The lens is well protected by the strike bezel. I believe the light could handle more than the one meter advertised drop.
I have not tried to charge other things. Probably works well. You will need to purchase a cable with correct ends or an adapter for the USB A plug (larger type, provided) to plug into the item you want to charge. The charge port on the flashlight is USB mini-A. This is the usual port size found on most items for charging. It would be nice to have the more modern USB-C so you do not accidentally jam the plug in the wrong way. But most of us have learned to be careful so it’s not a problem. Besides, everyone has a million USB mini-A’s. No worries on locating a charge cable! And Dorcy includes another one.
Its rugged and built good. the power bank works good charged my phone in about 30 minutes. good run time. MY ONLY COMPLAINT the spot to flood does not turn far enough to spot so to me i like for spot to be spot where this goes to spot it so bright it more of a blur and the glare is so bright your looking at spot and its like a glare and about a quarter turn from spot to flood. Would be so much better if it would zoom to a spot and not flood
