The new and improved 41-4225 400 Lumen LED Rechargeable Work light takes advantage of leading LED technology through exclusive “Broad Beam” ™ technology. “Broad Beam” ™ technology provides edge to edge uniform brightness across the entire work area so you do not have to move the light to get the bright spot.  The NEW COB TECHNOLOGY produces a higher quality light and provides higher efficiency. With multiple super bright LED’s spread across the circuit board the new COB will produce over 400 Lumens of uniform light. In addition, there are 2 super strong magnets on the back of the light cage allowing the unit to be attached to most any metal surface. A 360° rotating swivel hook at the top of the Work Light offers the ability to hang the light. The LED Work Light uses the highest strength materials for the lens and housing, making it virtually indestructible. The 400 Lumen LED Rechargeable Worklight is powered by 2 NIMH rechargeable batteries that are safely sealed inside the handle, providing years of service. The work light comes complete with an AC Charger.

I was a little skeptical ordering this since there were some 1 star reviews but have to say i am very please with this light. I got one of the new versions which is chip on board. It looks like there are a lot more than 4 LEDs in this version. The light throws a very even area of light. definitely would recommend

Love how bright the light is, what I have found about the battery is it must be charged frequently. The more you charge the light the better the battery will be. If you leave it without charging when you need it, it will be dead and not recharge. So charge often even when not needed. Then just leave it until you need it or until you can recharge again.

Same issue with the dead battery after only one charge. Very upset about wasting my money & lining Dorcy's pocket. I'm quite sure they have known this product is fauly for some time but have failed to do anything about it. They should have recalled it MONTHS ago. I will never buy another product with the Dorcy logo. Tried the "fix": plugging/unplugging repeatedly to no avail. Don't waste your time. If you have not already purchased this item, DON'T!

FIX FIX FIX. FLASHING CHARGE LED ISSUE and DOA PROBLEM FIXED. If your light wont charge and or was DOA on arrival read the following. I have found a fix for the doa problem that seems to stem from running the battery to fully drained before recharging. I actually bought mine already pooched from Lowes. I take it home and plug in the charger and i get a flashing charge light and battery never lights up. Heres what I did to fix it. I suspect the issue relates to using LiPo batteries. I used this trick on batteries for my remote control planes. plug the charger into the wall then grasp the socket end that plugs into the light. Now insert it into the flash light then remove it before the flashing led begins then insert it again. continue plugging and unplugging the light with the adapter. try to leave it plugged in longer than unplugged. after awhile when you stop and leave the adapter plugged in you will notice that the charge indicator LED doesnt flash anymore but remains steady as per the de it plugged in to charge and the light works as advertised. Im pretty sure the LiPo battery is below its valid voltage threshold and the charger does not pickup the correct number of cells or volatge and assumes the battery to be broken or no there. By plugging in and out the charger you are supplying a small charge current prior to the charger sensor determining a faulty battery and cutting out. When you continue this you actuall provide enough charge to get all the cells in the LiPo back to a detectable state so the charger then senses correct battery voltage and cells and now charges like normal. Now as appreciation for freely providing a solution to a potentially disasterous product recall and public relations damage I would wonder if Dorcy could see it in their heart to subsidize my flashlight collection by helping me with a donation of a Metal Gear XL-M Extreme 600 Lumen LED Flashlight

worked ok for the first 3 to 4 uses, then the battries would not hold a charge for more than 5 minutes. I had the battries replaces for another 15 dollars and had the same results. This light is a piece of junk, save your money DON'T BUY IT!!!
