This is a fairly basic led flashlight. I've had it for probably close to two years now and it works great. It's not the brightest of what is out there, but it's simple and fairly rugged. The main reason I don't give it 5 stars is the main drawback to all 2 AA (or any 2 cell/battery) led flashlight. I use rechargeable batteries, which don't provide as much upfront voltage and a standard alkaline battery does. So as time goes on and the batteries start to die it has a habit of just flickering or cutting out. It's more annoying than a problem per se, but I've learned that when it does it you just need to change the batteries. For a long time I thought it was the way the tail switch worked, not making a good connection. But I figured it out after a couple of battery changes. Overall it's not a bad light, just know if it flickers or cuts out you might want to take a look at the batteries before you think the light is defective.
