I know some of the reviews of this light are negative, with some failures, but when you consider how many of these must be made it is only a small percentage. When this light was stock it was a great little light. I have owned it for a few years now and have since upgraded the led to an Cree XM-L on a 20mm star, it fit perfect. I also upgraded the battery pack to a NiMH.

flashlight lasts 15 min at most when fully charged. although bright i now use a different light from different company that lasts longer and is just as bright

had for a few months used a few times and does not work. Not sure if it the bulb or battery, but disappointed. Lit up well when worked but did not last.

I work in a prison on night shift and i have had very little issues with this light the only thing is that somtimes the switch would act up but it stoped doing that. got it for $10.00 at a flea market never opened

well... i WAS going to buy this product as soon as i got my next paycheck, i've needed a good high powered flashlight for a long time now, and being rechargable was the icing on the cake.... untill i started reading these reviews.... but instead of complaining i thought i'd drop a few suggestions. Dorcy, you guys make great lights, but looking at this one example, you obviously need to update the design, toss the nicd batteries and switch to lithium ion, figure out why the bulbs keep going dead and fix it. and one last thing..... FOCUSING BEAM! yeah i get it, you preset your beams at the factory for the most part, thats great but the versatility to switch from spotlight to floodlight with a simple twist of the wrist is what has kept mag lite on top for years, start making that feature available on all models and i guarantee you'll move much more product
